Whether they’re toddlers or teenagers, I believe that every stage of your family’s story deserves to be told. Preserve yours through heirloom images that will stand the test of time and be enjoyed for generations to come. Family Lifestyle sessions with JaneCane Photography include one hour of shooting time, edited images in a custom online gallery and the image downloads + print release. Sessions may be held in an outdoor location of your choice or at the JaneCane Photography studio in Downtown Duluth. Additional fees apply for extended and multiple families and/or travel outside of the Duluth area.

Having worked with children for the past 20 years - and as a nanny of a family of five kids for over 12 years - I have learned how to navigate pretty much any situation we might run into during a session. Whether your littles are shy, outgoing, energetic, nervous - I work to connect on their level and make sure that they are comfortable, allowing them to take the lead as I follow along. I encourage play and movement so your sessions feel fun, not staged - and work with clients to plan sessions around nap times and routines. I also suggest bringing along favorite books, toys, snacks, etc so we can work together to make the session as enjoyable, fun and successful as possible.
If you find yourself worried about specific situations that may be holding you back from booking a session, please do not hesitate to reach out and ask. I always am open to working with families to customize sessions, making sure that our time together is stress-free and relaxed, while providing the highest of quality photo experiences.
i'm nervous about my kids not being able to last through an entire session -
I offer multi-family sessions to include Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Best Friends, you name it! I take time ahead of the session to plan out combinations to make the most of your session, making sure to deliver a mix of large group photos and small family photos - including images of couples, individual portraits and all the combinations your heart desires. There is an additional fee for extended family sessions. (Inquire for details)
what if we want photos with our whole family?
Definitely. I often travel outside of the Duluth area for lifestyle sessions, though there is a travel fee. (Inquire for details)
DO YOU TRAVEL FOR SESSIONS?
Yes, twice a year! Once in the Summer and once in the Fall. These sessions are scheduled on pre-set dates, with multiple families scheduled in one day, and are usually announced in the Spring, Dates are announced to my email list and spots book quickly. Mini Sessions are shorter in length than full lifestyle sessions, come at a lower investment cost (usually around $450) and include a smaller gallery of images.
